Health Tourism Complication Insurance

• It is the first insurance policy against post-operative complications for people coming to Turkey for health tourism.

• Valid in health institutions with Health Tourism Accreditation certificate

• Provides coverage in cases where revision or renewal of the operation is required due to complications that may develop after the operation performed for health tourism purposes

• The policy is valid for 6 months from the start date.

• The policy is valid for persons between the ages of 5 and 75

• Dental policies can be taken for 6 or 12 months

• Complications included in the coverage are covered by the insurance company after treatment in the same institution
   

Types of Medical Tourism Complication Insurance

• Dental Complication Insurance

  • Tooth extraction, surgical tooth extraction, root canal treatment, implant application, prosthetic tooth application and periodontology applications.

  • In surgical tooth extraction, complications such as delayed bleeding, gingival infection, remaining tooth fragment; in implant applications, complications such as implant not fitting properly, displacement, dislocation, damage to the jawbone are covered.
     

• Eye Complications Insurance

  • Excimer laser,

  • Refractive error surgery such as Lasik,

  • Cataract surgery,

  • Ptosis surgery,

  • Glaucoma surgery,

  • Retinal detachment
    complications that may develop related to surgeries are covered by the policy
     

• Hair Transplant Complication Insurance

  • Despite following the recommendations, treatments and hair transplantation to be performed in case the transplanted hair follicles do not hold or infection develops on the hair skin and hair transplantation again are covered by the coverage.​
     

• Aesthetic and Surgical Complications (including Caesarean section)
  (excluding Organ Transplant, ERCP) Insurance

  • In all surgical procedures, the complications written in the information and consent form signed by the patient before the operation are covered (except death).
     

• Cardiovascular Surgery Complications Insurance

  • Peripheral vascular surgery,

  • Varicose vein surgery

  • Heart valve replacement,

  • Valvuloplasty ,

  • Coronary artery by pass surgery,

  • Coronary stenting,

  • Large vessel replacementPossible complications specified in the medical literature for the relevant surgery such as restenosis, stent slippage after an operation / intervention are covered
    
     

Health Tourism Complication Insurance Coverage

• Complication Coverage

  • The costs of treating the complication with revision surgery or intervention are covered

  • The tests and medicines required for the medical procedure to be performed are also paid.

  • Diagnostic and surgical standard pre-op examinations required by the medical intervention are paid
     

• Travel Health Coverage

  • Health, ambulance, medical consultancy and funeral transportation expenses specified in the certificate and policy are evaluated within the scope of the coverage limits and special conditions of travel health insurance.

• Airplane - Transportation Coverage

  • The amount of the economy class flight ticket paid by the insured to come to Turkey is paid with the limit and exemption specified in the policy.
     

•   Accommodation Coverage

  • In the event that the insured person requires treatment of a complication arising as a result of a treatment performed in Turkey or revision of an operation, the accommodation expenses that the insured person has to incur outside the health institution before and after the treatment in Turkey are paid under this coverage, limited to a maximum daily upper limit of EUR 100.

• Accompanying Transportation Coverage

  • It can only be taken as an optional choice in Surgery and Cardiovascular Surgery plans.

  • The relevant coverage and limits are not applicable for the first intervention / surgery to be performed in Turkey.

  • When the policy coverage is activated during the secondary intervention to be applied to the insured, transportation and accommodation expenses for a companion who will come to Turkey with the insured are covered within the coverage limits and limits specified in the policy and certificate.
     

• Accompanying Accommodation Coverage

  • It can only be taken as an optional choice in Surgery and Cardiovascular Surgery plans.

  • The relevant coverage and limits are not applicable for the first intervention / surgery to be performed in Turkey.

  • When the policy coverage is activated during the secondary intervention to be applied to the insured, transportation and accommodation expenses for a companion who will come to Turkey with the insured are covered within the scope of reimbursement within the coverage limits and exemption specified in the policy and certificate.
     

• Coverage for Intervention in Home Country

  • It can be taken as an optional choice.

  • Minor interventions and medical treatments due to early complications such as discharge and infection at the wound site related to the medical intervention / surgery that the insured undergoes after returning to his/her home country are covered under this coverage within the limits specified in the policy and certificate.
